Our Services

If any senior citizen is experiencing an ongoing feeling of loneliness, it can have a negative effect on their physical health. It could lead to weight gain, sleep deprivation, poor heart health, and a weakened immune system. Loneliness can also put your body under more stress resulting in high blood pressure, affecting memory and problem-solving skills. As part of our services at Live With Joy, we have a team of qualified youngsters (Buddy) to provide you with the utmost care and companionship.
Grand Buddy is someone who has subscribed to our Companionship Services. The Grand Buddy is an elderly person in their late 60’s or 70’s living alone and has their family members staying abroad or in another city. The Grand Buddy is someone who is missing their children and grandchildren on a regular basis but wants to look forward to living their life enthusiastically with positive frame of mind.

Why Psychology

Live With Joy offers Companionship Services and On Call Psychology Services to elderly citizen living alone whose children are residing abroad or in another city.

Senior Citizen staying alone experiences ongoing feeling of loneliness and in due course will have adverse effect on their mental & physical health.

All our buddies have a psychology background and understand the psychology of a lonely parent to provide the right companionship.

An erudite teacher and a counsellor with more than 16 years of professional and academic work experience. has previously worked at Accenture in project management operations. Besides, she has also worked as a consultant on several organizational development and human resource management projects. Currently Associated with NMIMS University, with over 12 years of service, she has trained many students, staff and faculty. she has also taught students at Podar International School and Jamnabai Narsee International School. She was felicitated at the hands of Dr. K. M Kulkarni, former director of Higher education, Maharashtra Govt. and also by Education Times & National Institute of Event Management. She was also recognised for her exemplary contribution in teaching at NMIMS (Shirpur).

Ms. Malvika Rao

Psychologist
Malvika Rao (she/ her) is a counselling psychologist who has completed her Master’s Degree in Counselling Psychology from Golden Gate University (USA, San Francisco). With around 5 years of work experience, she has previously worked for a company that provides mental health services for homeless people in San Francisco and manages their mental health. She trained as a Marriage Family therapist with a special focus on working with anxiety, depression and other major mental health concerns. She is also associate with an NMIMS college in Mumbai where she provides mental health services to the students of the university. She believes to create a space for self-acceptance through the lens of trauma informed and cognitive behavioral approach.
